Concerned Parents Association (CPA) envisions “a peaceful society where children’s rights are respected and protected”.
To promote peace and protect the rights of war affected families in Uganda through advocacy, psychosocial support and community empowerment.
Strategic Direction 1: Increased holistic support to livelihoods development.
Objective: To Contribute to Peace building, Holistic livelihoods recovery and development in Northern Uganda.
Strategic Direction 2: Strengthening social support institutions for child protection.
Objective: To strengthen the capacities of social institutions to prevent and respond to incidences of child abuse, violence and exploitation.
Strategic Direction 3: Improved social services for children, particularly education and health.
Objective: To ensure that the right to education and health is progressively attained.
Strategic Direction 4: Advocating for Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts in Northern Uganda.
Objective: To maintain national and international interest in pursuing a peaceful resolution of conflict in Northern Uganda.
Strategic Direction 5: Sustainably manage Institutional and Organization Development.
Objective: To ensure that CPA is a sustainable and well- respected organisation with solid governance, management and implementation structures. HIV/AIDS and Gender are mainstreamed into all the core programs of CPA.
